Japan Post EMS Insurance Cost #

• For channel reasons, the maximum declaration amount for a single waybill mailed via Ebaoguo’s Japan using Japan Post EMS is 100,000 Japanese yen. If the amount exceeds this, you need to submit a new waybill
• If the value of the mailed package exceeds 100,000 Japanese yen, and cannot be split, Ebaoguo Japan will be unable to transport it
• Ebaoguo Japan will provide insurance of up to 10,000 Japanese yen for your waybill package. If your declaration is below 10,000 yen, you do not need to purchase additional insurance

Prohibited Items and Mailing Restrictions #

• International EMS can mail to over 144 countries and regions worldwide. Enter the address, and the system will automatically calculate the required freight
• International EMS is part of the Universal Postal Union system, and most countries or regions entrust delivery to the local postal system

However, there is still a risk that the destination country’s customs may detain the goods and levy taxes. Should the destination customs detain the goods or charge fees, the recipient must bear the responsibility themselves.

EMS has strong customs clearance capabilities, but items prohibited by aviation or customs cannot be shipped.

Method for Measuring Irregular Parcels #

① Standard Parcel Measurement Method: If the parcel is a standard cardboard box, the volumetric weight is calculated based on the length, width, and height of the box.

② Curved Surface Parcel Measurement Method: If the parcel is deformed due to compression of goods inside, causing the flat plane of the box to bulge out, then the calculation is based on the longest side of the parcel.

③ Measurement Method for Irregular Parcels: For parcels that need to be packaged into an irregular shape due to the actual size of the goods, the volumetric weight is calculated based on the longest side of the parcel.

Does this channel deliver directly to the door?

Yes, international EMS delivers directly to the address you provide. If delivery isn’t possible, local logistics will contact you to pick up at their service point.

My parcels have arrived at the warehouse sequentially. Can I submit multiple shipping orders?

With international EMS, there is one shipping order per parcel. If multiple orders are submitted together, the base weight and additional weight for each order is calculated separately, without costs accumulation.

What if the dimensions and weight in the warehouse are different from what the seller stated?

The Japanese warehouse will measure and weigh each parcel upon storage. If you have any concerns about the size or weight, you can verify with customer service before submission.

I want to return goods, can you refuse to accept the parcel?

The warehouse cannot determine which parcels are to be returned upon receipt. Please submit a return address after storage, and the warehouse will arrange for shipping.

Can you help me consolidate boxes?

When you submit multiple parcels in one order, the warehouse will try to combine smaller parcels into your larger box to ensure items are not lost in transit and to reduce volumetric weight. There is no additional fee for consolidation service. However, if a new box is used, there will be an additional box fee. The size after consolidation may differ from the size upon submission, the system will refer to the billing weight after consolidation. Please note this in the order comments if you do not wish to consolidate certain parcels.

I bought a lot of items, can I fill in the information approximately?

When submitting a shipping order, you need to declare the products you have purchased in English honestly. If the products are of the same category, such as clothes, you can write “Cloths” and enter the real purchase price. Customs may randomly inspect shipping orders and require proof of purchase (such as invoices and screenshots). You will be responsible if customs fees are incurred due to incorrect information.

Insurance #

• Insurance is not mandatory; the insurance fee is 5% of the declared value.
• If insurance is not purchased and the goods are lost, only the actual shipping cost paid will be refunded.
• Regardless of how much you declare, the maximum compensation amount for a shipment’s insurance is 500 Japanese yen.
• If insurance is not purchased and the goods are confirmed lost, only the actual shipping cost paid will be refunded.
• If the goods are not received within 60 working days from the shipping date, they will be automatically considered lost.
• If customs detention occurs due to false declaration, the insurance terms will be automatically voided.
