⚠️ Ebaoguo’s Consolidated line is the only option above that includes Malaysian SST and customs clearance in the listed price. DHL, AusPost, and FedEx are all DDU — the recipient is responsible for any Malaysian customs charges, which can arrive as a separate invoice after delivery.
Malaysian Customs, Duty & SST Explained #
Regardless of origin warehouse (Australia / China / Malaysia / Japan etc.), Ebaoguo offers three channel types:
| Channel | Examples | Duty terms |
|---|---|---|
| ① Consolidation line (proprietary) | Ebaoguo direct air / sea | DDP only where the page clearly states “duty included / DDP” — otherwise DDU (recipient pays at destination) |
| ② Postal services (national postal) | Australia Post, China Post, Pos Malaysia, Japan Post, SingPost, etc. | DDU — recipient pays at destination |
| ③ International express | FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc. | DDU — recipient pays at destination |
The customs and tax information on this page is compiled from official government sources and is provided strictly as a shipping reference. At the time of actual clearance:
- Destination customs authorities may consider the declared value, but are not obliged to use it as the assessable basis;
- Customs may apply their own product valuation database or reference price to determine duty;
- The exact duty amount, whether duty is levied, and whether the parcel is inspected are solely at the discretion of destination customs; Ebaoguo cannot guarantee outcomes;
- This page does not constitute a tax-assessment authority and cannot be used as evidence in any customs dispute;
- All duties, VAT, consumption tax, and surcharges are paid by the recipient at destination (DDU); Ebaoguo does not collect or pre-pay duty.
How to Ship from Australia to Malaysia #
Two quick options to get started:
Option 1: Online Purchase — Ship Direct to Ebaoguo Melbourne Warehouse #
- Register at ebaoguo.com to get your Melbourne warehouse address and personal Suite ID — include your Suite ID on every parcel so we can match it to your account
- When shopping at any Australian online store, enter the Ebaoguo warehouse address as the delivery address. Already purchased elsewhere? You can forward existing packages to the same address
- Once your parcel arrives, we automatically photograph, weigh, and log it into your account — view dimensions, weight, and photos in real time from your dashboard
- Select the parcels you want to ship, submit a shipment request, and enter your Malaysia recipient’s delivery address. Declare item names and upload purchase invoices if required by Malaysian customs
- Our warehouse consolidates and packs your items; the system calculates the final fee based on actual weight and sends a payment notification — multiple currencies accepted (AUD, MYR, CNY, SGD, NZD, HKD, TWD)
- After payment, we arrange dispatch and issue a tracking number for full door-to-door tracking via Line Clear Express
Option 2: Melbourne Locals — Drop Off at an Agent Location #
- Register at ebaoguo.com or via the WeChat Mini Program
- Complete a pre-declaration form (recipient details and item declaration) — one form per delivery address is sufficient
- Bring your parcels to a Melbourne agent location and provide your pre-declaration reference number
- Agent staff will measure dimensions and weigh your parcels on the spot
- Pay at the agent location — cash, card, or WeChat Pay accepted

Frequently Asked Questions #
How long does shipping from Australia to Malaysia take?
Ebaoguo Consolidated: 5–10 working days to West Malaysia (Peninsular); 10–20 business days to East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak). Weekly cut-off Wednesday, dispatch Thursday. For comparison: AusPost International Express 3–6 days; AusPost International Courier 2–3 days; DHL Express 1–3 days. Transit times depend on customs processing at both ends.
Do I have to pay customs or tax when my parcel reaches Malaysia?
On the Ebaoguo consolidated line, no — the rate is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), which means Malaysian SST, import duty and customs clearance are already built into the price you pay upfront. Your recipient pays nothing at the door and won’t get a surprise bill later. This is the main difference from couriers like DHL and Australia Post, which are DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): with those, your recipient can be billed separately for Malaysian customs charges after the parcel is delivered.
Do you charge by volumetric (dimensional) weight?
No — the Ebaoguo consolidated line charges by actual weight only, up to 40 kg per parcel. This is a big deal for bulky-but-light items like clothing, baby formula, nappies and health supplements, where couriers like DHL and FedEx charge volumetric weight (length × width × height ÷ 5,000) and end up costing far more. With us, a light 20 kg box of supplements is billed as 20 kg, not an inflated dimensional figure. (Note: our FedEx and Australia Post channels do still use their own volumetric rules.)
What items can I ship from Australia to Malaysia?
Commonly accepted items include: health supplements, baby formula, cosmetics and skincare products, clothing, luggage, non-perishable food, and household goods. Battery-containing products are strictly prohibited on the consolidated lane regardless of device type. For electronics with batteries, use the Australia Post or FedEx channels.
Can I ship phones, tablets, or electronics with batteries?
Battery-containing products are strictly prohibited on Ebaoguo’s consolidated AU→Malaysia line. A penalty of AUD $220 per package plus disposal fees applies for misdeclaration. For phones, tablets, laptops, or other battery-containing electronics, use the Australia Post or FedEx Express channels instead (DDU — recipient handles Malaysian duties separately). Note: phones and laptops importing to Malaysia may also require a SIRIM permit — contact us to confirm eligibility.
What items are prohibited when shipping from Australia to Malaysia?
Prohibited items include: all battery-containing products (on consolidated route), standalone lithium batteries, flammable liquids and gases, pressurised aerosol cans, fresh food and produce, plants and seeds, live animals, counterfeit goods, controlled substances, and cash. A penalty of AUD $220 per package applies for battery misdeclaration on the consolidated lane.
Can I consolidate multiple parcels before shipping to Malaysia?
Yes — free consolidation is one of Ebaoguo’s core services. You can shop from multiple Australian retailers and have all parcels delivered to our Melbourne warehouse. We combine everything into one box before shipping to Malaysia, significantly reducing the per-item shipping cost. Register at dashboard.ebaoguo.com to get your personal Melbourne warehouse address.
Can I track my parcel from Australia to Malaysia?
Yes. All Ebaoguo consolidated shipments include end-to-end tracking via Line Clear Express. After dispatch you receive a tracking number and can monitor your parcel from our Melbourne warehouse to your Malaysia delivery address in real time.
How often does Ebaoguo ship from Australia to Malaysia, and who delivers it?
The Australia-to-Malaysia consolidated line ships once a week. The cut-off is Wednesday — parcels confirmed and paid by Wednesday go out the following Thursday. One thing to know: each weekly shipment can only carry parcels for one recipient name per address, so if you send duplicates (same name and address), the extras roll over to the next week. Once it lands in Malaysia, Line Clear Express — our local delivery partner — handles door-to-door delivery across both West Malaysia (Peninsular) and East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), with tracking the whole way.
By using Ebaoguo services you agree to our Terms & Conditions. Please ensure your goods comply with Malaysian customs regulations before shipping.
