Australia to Taiwan Shipping — How It Works #
Fee Transparency — No Hidden Costs
- Shipping rate (by chargeable weight)

- Pickup fee (if you choose home pickup)
- Extra service fees, commission, fuel surcharges
- Destination customs duty / VAT / GST (only on DDP self-operated lines marked "included")

- Insurance (optional, ~5% of declared value; shown at bottom of each card)
- Customs inspection / return / storage detention fees in exceptional cases
Need to get a parcel from Australia to Taiwan without paying courier prices? Ebaoguo runs a consolidated air line out of our Melbourne warehouse at AU$10/kg, so shipping Swisse, Blackmores, baby formula or a semester’s worth of luggage back home stays cheap. You’re billed on chargeable weight — whichever is greater, the actual weight or the volumetric weight — so light-but-bulky items like clothing are priced on the space they take up.
Parcels land at your Taiwan address in about 5–10 working days and are delivered right to your door by Hsinchu Logistics (新竹物流, the 黑貓宅急便 network) — no depot pickup, no queuing. We clear customs on the Taiwan side, but there’s one thing you can’t skip: your recipient has to be verified in the EZWay (易利委) real-name system, or the parcel gets held at the border. More on that below.
Vitamins and fish oil, tins of formula, Aesop and Jurlique skincare, or a box of clothes for family back home — it all goes on the same line. You see every parcel’s weight, size and photo in your account before you pay, and the price you’re quoted is the price you pay.

EZWay Real-Name Verification for Taiwan Customs #
Taiwan Customs requires all international parcels to be linked to a verified real-name identity via the EZWay (易利委) system. This is a mandatory requirement introduced by Taiwan Customs — packages without valid EZWay verification may be held or returned.
Senders must ensure the recipient has completed EZWay verification before the package arrives. Here is how the process works:
- Recipient downloads the “易利委 EZWay” app in Taiwan (available on the App Store and Google Play)
- Recipient registers with their National ID or passport — this creates their verified customs identity
- Recipient provides their verified EZWay account details to the sender
- Ebaoguo links your package to the recipient’s EZWay account at dispatch
Packages without valid EZWay verification may be held at Taiwan Customs. Ebaoguo will contact you if there are any issues with your recipient’s EZWay registration during the shipping process.
- Packaging that shrinks or shows minor dents in transit (especially by air) due to changes in air pressure at altitude — as long as the outer shipping box itself is undamaged, this is a normal physical effect, not product damage;
- Breakage of fragile items — this applies regardless of whether reinforced packing was selected;
- Spoilage or expiry of short-shelf-life or temperature-sensitive food caused by transit time, customs clearance waits, or last-mile delivery.
Shipping Options & Frequently Asked Questions #
Standard Consolidated Freight (集运) — Recommended
The most popular and affordable option for shipping general goods from Australia to Taiwan. AU $10/kg with chargeable weight = max(actual, volumetric). Accepted items: health supplements, baby formula, cosmetics, skincare, clothing, luggage, books, non-perishable food, and general merchandise. Prohibited: all battery-containing products (power banks, e-cigarettes, devices with built-in batteries). Misdeclaration results in AUD $220 penalty + disposal fees. Delivered via Hsinchu Logistics (新竹物流) with door-to-door delivery across Taiwan. Weekly cutoff Wednesday; dispatch Thursday.
Australia Post International
Suitable for shipments requiring an official paper trail or AusPost tracking. Transit approximately 6–10 working days to Taiwan. Standard AusPost international rates apply. Note: neither AusPost nor the Ebaoguo consolidated route includes customs duties — duties are payable by the recipient upon delivery. A small handling fee may apply if collected by the courier.
FedEx Express
Fastest option: 3–5 working days to Taiwan. Ideal for urgent or high-value shipments. FedEx provides end-to-end tracking and dedicated customs brokerage. Standard FedEx international rates apply. Suitable when speed is the priority.
How much does shipping from Australia to Taiwan cost?
AU $10/kg. Chargeable weight is the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight (L×W×H cm ÷ 5000), rounded up to the nearest 0.5kg. Use our freight calculator for a precise quote.
How long does shipping from Australia to Taiwan take?
5–10 working days from our Melbourne warehouse to your door via Hsinchu Logistics (新竹物流). The weekly cutoff is Wednesday; packages are dispatched every Thursday.
Do I need EZWay to receive a parcel in Taiwan?
Yes. EZWay (易利委) is Taiwan Customs’ mandatory real-name verification system — every incoming international parcel must be linked to the recipient’s verified ID. Your recipient downloads the free EZWay app, registers once with their National ID or passport, and shares their account so we can link the shipment at dispatch. It takes a few minutes and only has to be done once. Without a valid EZWay record, customs may hold the parcel or return it to sender, so make sure your recipient is verified before the package arrives in Taiwan.
What can and can’t I ship from Australia to Taiwan?
You can send health supplements, baby formula, cosmetics and skincare, clothing, luggage, books, and general non-perishable goods. What you cannot send on the consolidated line is anything containing a lithium battery — power banks, e-cigarettes, and devices with built-in batteries are all prohibited, and misdeclaring them costs a A$220 penalty plus disposal. Perfume and tobacco are also restricted. If you’re unsure whether an item is allowed, message our customer service before shipping and we’ll confirm.
What happens if I send prohibited items?
Misdeclared or prohibited items — especially battery-containing products — incur a penalty of AUD $220 per package, plus disposal costs. This applies regardless of whether the misdeclaration was intentional. Always declare your package contents accurately and completely.
Can I consolidate multiple packages before shipping to Taiwan?
Yes. Ebaoguo’s free consolidation service lets you purchase from multiple Australian online stores and ship everything to our Melbourne warehouse. We combine your packages into one shipment — reducing shipping cost per item significantly. Register at dashboard.ebaoguo.com to receive your personal Melbourne warehouse address.
Do you deliver door-to-door across all of Taiwan?
Yes. We deliver door-to-door anywhere in Taiwan through Hsinchu Logistics (新竹物流), covering Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, and rural townships. Deliveries to the outer islands — Kinmen, Matsu, and Penghu — are supported but may take a little longer. You’ll get tracking once your parcel is dispatched, so you can follow it right to the recipient’s door.
When is the weekly cut-off, and how fast will my parcel actually arrive in Taiwan?
We close the consolidated line every Wednesday and dispatch on Thursday, so drop your parcels at our Melbourne warehouse by Wednesday to catch that week’s shipment. From dispatch it’s 5–7 working days to your door via Hsinchu Logistics (新竹物流) — miss the cut-off and you simply ride the next Thursday out.
Does the recipient in Taiwan need to do anything?
Yes — recipients must complete EZWay (易利委) verification before clearance. If the recipient’s name does not match their EZWay record, a name-correction fee may apply.
