What is EZ Way? EZ Way is Taiwan’s official customs app that verifies a recipient’s identity so overseas parcels can clear customs without an in-person declaration. Under regulations from Taiwan’s Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, every parcel imported from overseas — including consolidated shipments — must be linked to a verified recipient identity, or it cannot clear customs:

The recipient downloads the official “EZ WAY 易利委” app and completes real-name verification by linking a Taiwan mobile number to their National ID number
⚠️ Since June 20, 2025, EZ Way blocks connections from overseas IP addresses — verification must be completed while physically in Taiwan, on a Taiwan network. If the recipient is currently overseas, they should complete verification in advance, or arrange for someone else in Taiwan to confirm the parcel on their behalf
Each time a parcel reaches customs, the app sends a push notification, and the recipient must tap “Confirm Declaration” (申报相符) to authorize clearance
Real-name verification only needs to be completed once — after that, the recipient just confirms each incoming parcel notification

Sensitive Cargo Notes #

Food: keep each shipment to around 5 kg, ideally no more than 6 kg; meat, meat floss, chicken feet, and seed-bearing agricultural products cannot be shipped
Food customs-declaration fee: ¥50/shipment; if food is seized and returned by customs, the return-shipping fee is non-refundable; if the parcel is lost, the return fee is waived and the declared value is compensated

Air Express Prohibited Items #

Insurance is optional — coverage costs 5% of the declared value, and a purchase invoice must be provided before shipping
Without insurance: maximum compensation for loss is the equivalent of AU$100 (including freight)
With insurance: maximum compensation for loss is the equivalent of AU$500 per shipment

Frequently Asked Questions #

My parcels are arriving at the warehouse at different times — can I submit them as separate shipments?

Yes, but chargeable weight is not combined across separate shipments.

The warehouse recorded a different size or weight than the seller listed — what happens?

Our China warehouse measures and weighs every parcel on arrival, and that measurement is authoritative. If you have any concerns, please contact customer service before the parcel ships.

Can the warehouse reject a parcel on my behalf before it even arrives?

The warehouse cannot identify in advance which parcel you want to return. Once a parcel has arrived and been logged, submit a return address and we’ll arrange the return shipment. See our China Warehouse Return Service for details.

Can multiple parcels be consolidated into one shipment?

Yes. Our warehouse consolidates smaller parcels into your larger box wherever possible at no extra charge, though a new-box fee applies if a new box is needed. Shipping is calculated on the consolidated volumetric weight — if any parcels should not be consolidated, note this in your shipment remarks.

I bought a lot of items — can I just estimate the customs declaration?

Please declare the products you purchased truthfully in English. Items in the same category (e.g. clothing) can be grouped under one description such as “Clothes,” together with the actual purchase price. Any customs costs resulting from an inaccurate declaration are the customer’s responsibility.

Is cash on delivery available?

No — all shipments must be paid for in full before dispatch.

Does the recipient need to complete EZ Way (易利委) real-name verification?

Yes.
