Taiwan Warehouse Usage Notes #

  1. As only air freight is available from Taiwan to Australia, please send your parcels to our Kaohsiung air freight warehouse. If sent to the wrong warehouse, a local transfer fee of NT$185 will apply.
  2. Parcels must be pre-declared in the Ebaoguo system before they arrive at the Taiwan warehouse. Without pre-declaration, your parcel will not appear in your account.
  3. Please read the [Cannot Ship List] carefully before sending. If you are unsure whether an item is allowed, contact us before purchasing. Return shipping fees apply for items that cannot be forwarded after they arrive at the warehouse.
  4. A parcel handling fee of NT$22 per parcel applies when a shipment order is submitted. For example, submitting 3 parcels will incur a handling fee of 3 × NT$22 = NT$66.
  5. Chunghwa Post charges a documentation fee of NT$200 per shipment order.

Rates #
  • Rates are weight-based — see the Ebaoguo rate calculator for current pricing
  • Minimum chargeable weight is 1 kg (fractions rounded up to 1 kg); additional weight rounded up in 500 g increments
  • Chargeable weight: the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H cm ÷ 5000)
Transit Time #
  • Dispatch days: every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (if a Taiwan public holiday falls on a dispatch day, the cut-off rolls over to the next dispatch day)
    • After the cut-off, the warehouse requires 1–2 business days to sort and process parcels before they are sent to the airport
  • Delivery time:
    • Within Australia: approximately 7–14 business days after dispatch (delays may occur if customs inspection is required)
Packaging Rules #
  • This route is charged per parcel per shipment order
  • Individual parcel actual weight must not exceed 20 kg; longest side must not exceed 105 cm; sum of the two shorter sides must not exceed 150 cm
  • Consolidation (reboxing) is not available on this route — parcels will be dispatched in their original packaging (to be confirmed)
Shipping Rules #
  • Accepted items include general clothing, personal effects, commercially packaged food, cosmetics, health supplements, skincare products, branded clothing and footwear, general medicines, toys, auto parts, small appliances, and everyday household goods
  • All prohibited items are not accepted — please refer to the prohibited items list at the bottom of this page. Examples include alcohol-containing products (perfume, pressurised sprays), tobacco, alcohol, and items prohibited from import by customs such as animals and plants
Important Notes #
  • Payment is required before dispatch
  • Ebaoguo is responsible for parcel transportation only. We are not liable for quantity discrepancies or damage caused by the seller (e.g. wrong or missing items; colour, size, or style not matching expectations; stitching defects, colour fading, melting in transit; breakage of fragile items; delays due to weather or customs inspection causing expiry or spoilage). You may select additional services when submitting your parcel to verify item quantities and quality.
  • If no insurance is purchased and a parcel is lost, compensation is capped at the equivalent of AU$100 per shipment order (inclusive of shipping fees).
  • Insurance is optional and can be purchased at 5% of the declared value. A purchase invoice must be provided, insurance must be purchased before dispatch, and it does not apply to personal, second-hand, or uninvoiced goods.
  • If insurance is purchased and a parcel is lost, the maximum payout is the equivalent of AU$500 per shipment order. Compensation is limited to total loss only — damage, deformation, or spoilage of any kind is not covered.
  • Ebaoguo is not liable for deformation, spoilage, melting, breakage, or liquid leakage caused by environmental changes during transit. Please ensure items are properly packaged before sending.

How Charges Are Calculated #

Chargeable Weight
Air freight charges are based not only on actual weight but also on parcel dimensions — commonly known as volumetric (dimensional) weight.
  • a. The chargeable weight for each parcel is the greater of its actual weight and its volumetric weight
    • For example, if a parcel’s actual weight is 3.1 kg and its volumetric weight is 2.1 kg, the chargeable weight is 3.1 kg, which rounds up to 3.5 kg in 500 g increments
  • b. The chargeable weight for a shipment order is the sum of the chargeable weights of all parcels in that order
  • c. Volumetric weight formula for international freight: L (cm) × W (cm) × H (cm) ÷ 5000
  1. The minimum chargeable weight for consolidated routes is 1 kg; fractions under 1 kg are rounded up to 1 kg. Up to 10 kg, weight is rounded up in 500 g increments; above 10 kg, it is rounded up in 1 kg increments. For example, a chargeable weight of 1.3 kg is billed as 1.5 kg, and 10.2 kg is billed as 11 kg.
  2. If the actual weight is 2 kg or under and the volumetric weight does not exceed 5 kg, only the actual weight is used, rounded up in 500 g increments — so 1.3 kg is billed as 1.5 kg.
Example Say Xiao Ming is sending two parcels to the same recipient: Parcel 1 actual weight: 4 kg; volumetric weight: 36 cm × 35 cm × 30 cm ÷ 5000 = 7.56 kg → chargeable weight: 8 kg Parcel 2 actual weight: 10 kg; volumetric weight: 36 cm × 35 cm × 30 cm ÷ 5000 = 7.56 kg → chargeable weight: 10 kg Total chargeable weight for Xiao Ming’s shipment order: 8 kg + 10 kg = 18 kg
